Family comedy starring Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo. Admiral Frank Beardsley (Quaid), a widower with eight children, runs his family like a tight ship, but his orderly life changes course when he is re-united with his long-lost high school sweetheart, Helen (Russo), a free-spirited fashion designer with ten kids of her own.
