This documantary is made up entirely of original footage, which is used to trace the disintegration of Europe into war in June 1914, followed by America and other non-European countries. Footage of the bloody battles of Gallipoli, the Somme and Paschendale in 1917 are included as well as footage of some of America's intervention which accelerated the end of the Great War - a war which cost at least 9 million lives.
