But when a strange alien symbiote turns\nSpider-Man's suit black, his darkest demons come to light -\nchanging Spider-Man inside as well as out. Spider-Man is in for\nthe fight of his life against a lethal mix of villains - the\ndeadly Sandman (Thomas Haden Church), Venom (Topher Grace), and\nthe New Goblin (James Franco) - as well as the enemy within\nhimself.\n\nFrom Amazon.co.uk\n\nHow does Spider-Man 3 follow on the heels of its predecessor,\nwhich was widely considered the best superhero movie ever? For\nstarters, you pick up the loose threads from that movie, then add\nsome key elements of the Spidey comic-book mythos (including\nfan-favorite villain Venom), the black costume, and the\ncharacters of Gwen Stacy and her police-captain father.\nIn the beginning, things have never looked better for Peter\nParker (Tobey Maguire): He's doing well in school; his alter ego,\nSpider-Man, is loved and respected around New York City. And his\ngirlfriend, Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst), has just taken a\nstarring role in a Broadway musical. But nothing good can last\nfor Spidey. Mary Jane's career quickly goes downhill; she's\nbothered by Peter's attractive new classmate, Gwen Stacy (Bryce\nDallas Howard); and the new Daily Bugle photographer, Eddie Brock\n(Topher Grace), is trying to steal his thunder. Enter a new\nvillain, the Sandman (Thomas Haden Church), who can transform his\nbody into various forms and shapes of sand and who may be\nconnected to Peter's past in an unexpected way. There's also the\nson of an old villain, Harry Osborne (James Franco), who unmasked\nSpidey in the previous movie and still has revenge on his mind.\nAnd a new black costume seems to boost Spidey's powers, but\ntransforms mild-mannered Peter into a mean and obnoxious boor\n(Maguire has some fun here).\nIf that sounds like a lot to pack into one 140-minute film, it\nis. While director Sam Raimi keeps things flowing, assisted on\nthe screenplay by his brother Ivan and Alvin Sargent, there's a\nlittle too much going on, and it's inevitable that one of the\nvillains (there are three or four, depending on how you count)\ngets significantly short-changed. Still, the cast is excellent,\nthe effects are fantastic, and the action is fast and furious.\nEven if Spider-Man 3 isn't the match of , it's a worthy addition\nto the megamillion-dollar franchise. --David Horiuchi\n\nSynopsis\n\nThe Marvel comics hero returns for more high-flying fun in this\nthird instalment in the series. Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) is\nup to his usual Spidey tricks, attending university classes as an\nawkward geek, then quickly slipping into his red-and-blue suit to\nsave New York City from various villains. And there are villains\naplenty. Thomas Hayden Church blows in as the Sandman, an escaped\nconvict whose molecular structure is destroyed in a particle\naccelerator. The freak accident gives him the ability to form and\nreform from piles of dust. While the Sandman sifts through the\ncity streets robbing banks, Spidey must also contend with his\nonetime friend, Harry (James Franco), who has taken up where his\nfather, the Green Goblin, left off. Harry chases Spider-Man down\non his goblin glider, hurling pumpkin bombs. But Spider-Man's\nbiggest battle is perhaps within himself, when he is taken over\nby meteorite ooze--a substance that gives him great power, but\nalso turns him into a vengeful, selfish person. Throw into the\nmix Peter's new competition at the Daily Bugle--the ambitious,\nsneaky Eddie Brock (Topher Grace)--and Peter's relationship\ntroubles with Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst), and Spider-Man 3 weaves\na tangled web indeed.\nDirector Sam Raimi's playful style and his delightfully campy\nscreenplay hold true to the spirit of the Stan Lee comics, and he\ndoes an excellent job of hitting all the right superhero notes.\nRaimi has created an action film that is a fe\n","brand":"Sony Pictures Home Ent.","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":41008824549571,"sku":"S18574131","price":4.46,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0268\/7339\/7443\/products\/51VTXjrkQnL._AC_US1500.jpg?v=1650395102","url":"https:\/\/atticdiscoveryshop.co.uk\/products\/spider-man-3-blu-ray-2007-region-free-new-sealed","provider":"Attic Discovery Shop","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
