Kevin Gower (Michael Rapaport) leads a quiet and inauspicious life in the country. He is about to marry his childhood sweetheart Deeann (Christine Taylor) when he is whisked into a limousine by local wiseguy Max (Christopher Walken). It emerges that Kevin is actually the illegitimate son of Godfather Sal Fortuna (Robert Forster) and as such, is a prime target for assassination.
