Double bill of feature films following the adventures of popular children's TV characters the Muppets. In 'Muppets from Space' (1999) Gonzo (voice of Dave Goelz) begins to suspect that he comes from another planet. When he confesses to this on Miss Piggy (Frank Oz)'s new talk show, a paranoid government operative decides to find out for sure - by kidnapping Gonzo. Kermit (Steve Whitmire) and the rest of the Muppets set out to rescue their furry blue friend in a film that also features appearances from Ray Liotta, Hollywood Hogan, David Arquette and Andie MacDowell. In 'Muppets Take Manhattan' (1984) the Muppets decide to take their college variety show to New York. Miss Piggy (Oz) and Kermit (Jim Henson) are convinced the show will be an instant hit on Broadway, but things don't work out so easily. Though a number of the Muppets are forced to take more mundane jobs, Kermit is determined to see his stage dream through to success. Miss Piggy is equally single-minded in the pursuit of her goal - to marry Kermit.
