Charles Dickens described London as his magic lantern and this multi-faceted city certainly provided much of the inspiration for his great works, and a full palette on which to paint the background to many of his most famous books. In the company of Dickens expert Tony Williams we visit this epic writer s home in Doughty Street (now a museum dedicated to his life and works) where he completed Pickwick Papers, Oliver Twist, Nicholas Nickleby and others. We then continue our tour with visits to other London sites which have been immortalized through such great works as Little Dorrit, Great Expectations, Bleak House, David Copperfield and many, many more.
